Lawyer, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kristina Todorova Atanasova graduated with a degree in "Law" from the Faculty of Law at the University of Ruse in 2004, the same year she obtained her legal qualification. In 2012, she defended her doctoral dissertation in the field of Commercial Law. That same year, she also obtained a second master's degree in Insurance from the University of Economics – Svishtov. 

From 2004 to the present, she has been a university lecturer, progressively advancing through academic development. She is currently an associate professor of commercial and insurance law at the University of Insurance and Finance.

Since 2019, she has been registered as a lawyer in the Sofia Bar Association.

Her professional interests lie in the areas of commercial disputes, insurance relations, family, and divorce cases.
